Muscle relaxant and CNS depressant used to relieve skeletal muscle spasms and associated pain in acute musculoskeletal conditions. Sometimes prescribed off-label for treatment of fibromyalgia or as a sleep aid. Has little recreational value alone, but may potentiate some opioids. May cause drowsiness, dry mouth and dizziness.

- Do not mix with other CNS depressants, or within two weeks of a MAOI.

Note: Muscle relaxant structurally related to tricyclic antidepressants. Can cause false positives for tricyclic antidepressants (TCAs) on immunoassay.
