Description
Also known as methylhexanamine, this sympathetomimetic drug was developed as a nasal decongestant by Eli Lilly in the 1940s. It has been used as a weight loss aid and missold as a dietary supplement and component of some energy drinks. Carries a risk of heart attack, stroke and other life-threatening cardiovascular issues.
