Marinol (dronabinol) is a pharmaceutical preparation of synthetically produced delta-9-THC, the primary psychoactive compound in cannabis. It is FDA-approved for treating nausea from chemotherapy and appetite loss in AIDS patients. Effects are similar to cannabis but with more predictable dosing and onset when taken orally.
